I wanted to build a high-quality, period-correct replica of the GT40 Mk1. I knew, starting with the RCR kit, parts of it were not ‘period-correct’ yet it represents the highest quality kit you can purchase. Superformance uses the Safir MkV chassis; however, it is not a kit, it is a roller and very pricey. Safir will sell a continuation GT40 MkV yet again, not a kit and not friendly to your wallet.

So I started with the RCR and added my modifications to improve the build or ‘correctness’. This is a list of modifications added to date.
